AFRICAN GREYS -PCITTACUS ERITHACUS |
We are breeders of African Grey’s and all our babies
are hand reared in the home.We pride ourselves on having very cuddly tame African Grey’s who are given loads of attention and people friendly. We offer continual support to our customers and we like to share our knowledge of the African Grey. The African Grey makes a superb pet, after all which other pet can talk? Of course we can’t guarantee that your bird will talk but we do believe that with the right guidance, training and input there is no reason why your new pet cannot learn to say whatever you want to teach it! Do not buy an African Grey for this reason only though because if it doesn’t talk we don’t want you to be disappointed and we don’t want the bird to be neglected either. There have of course been lots of news articles where the African Grey has also been responsible for saying what it shouldn’t. So be warned this small intelligent creature is listening to things perhaps it shouldn’t be too. If you treat the African Grey like you would a small child you cannot go wrong and you can build a fantastic relationship with each other. The bird, like a child will respond to you and develop a trust in your affection and in return give his or her affection to you.
African Grey’s need at
least ten hours darkness for a good sleep and maybe even more for a
younger bird. This does not
mean a TV in the room as this does not equal good sleep.Like people the African Grey must be nurtured or may become nervous and withdraw and this can be devastating for both the owners and the bird. If you want an African Grey you must be prepared to make this bird part of your family and give it the time and care and attention it needs. We will give you a diet sheet and tell you which vitamins you pet will require and we will also tell you which foods are potentially toxic to your pet and will guide you with our experience as much as possible. All our birds are Parrot Society UK rung with our own Parrot Society Identification number and come with a hatching certificate. Our birds are captive bred and disease free. We want you to enjoy your new pet and we hope you love our African Grey’s. We love our Feathered Friends and we hope you do too. |
